Spurred by rising fuel costs, cars with "alternative" fuel sources are becoming more accepted among consumers. At recent auto shows, these concept cars are now considered more than just novelties, and viewed with genuine interest.
Hydrogen, electric, and bio-ethanol, known as "flexi fuel" were all showcased at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. It seems that auto manufacturers are finally investing in ways to make these alternative fuel sources a practical reality, much to the delight of environmentally conscience consumers.
