BuildDirect Launches Green Building Products Page For Earth Day and Beyond

As of Earth Day, BuildDirect, the world's leading online wholesaler of building supplies, has launched a green building products page to help customers make more environmentally sound choices when purchasing building products. The new green building products page will include links to relevant information about environmentally conscious products that BuildDirect offers.

"With the increased demand for environmentally-friendly building products, We felt it would be helpful to outline some of the benefits of our products that are considered to be the most environmentally responsible, including bamboo flooring, cork flooring, and coco palm flooring" said Rob Banks, executive-vice president, sales for BuildDirect.

The new green building products page, will provide information about the green building products on offer from BuildDirect for everyone from the experienced, environmentally-conscious consumer, to those with little knowledge of environmentally-friendly products. The goal is to provide their customers with the information necessary to make informed buying decisions.

"A lot of consumers may be interested in purchasing green building products, but do not know where to begin," said Rob Banks. "We hope our new green building products page will lead them to the right ones."

One of BuildDirect's top selling flooring products is their exclusive Yanchi Line of bamboo flooring. Yanchi bamboo floors comply with the stringent European E1 Standard for safe levels of Formaldehyde emissions. The E1 standards are stricter than the California standards, which are the strictest in North America.

In addition to Yanchi bamboo flooring the new green building products web page also features coco palm flooring, a brand new environmentally friendly flooring alternative from BuildDirect. Coco palm flooring is made from reclaimed wood from plantations that would have previously been discarded as a waste product.

The new resource site will also include a variety of other green building products, as well as explanations as to what makes these products a better choice for the environment.
