USGBC named to Scientific American 50

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) has been selected by Scientific American magazine as part of its annual list recognizing outstanding acts of leadership in science and technology. The USGBC was selected for its leadership in promoting environmental design through a variety of programs and services.  Since 1993 the USGBC has been promoting high-performing, sustainable green building through workshops and educational sessions and tools.  The USGBC has also developed a nationally recognized LEED green building rating system, which promotes and recognizes buildings for advances in green building.
