Solar in a Box Featured in 2007 Idea Houses

Ready Solar announces the selection of its Solar in a Box solar energy system, featuring Sunpower solar panels, for powering two of Sunset Magazine's 2007 Idea Houses.

"We are thrilled that Sunset chose to showcase our Solar in a Box product, featuring Sunpower solar panels, on these truly unique projects and hope it highlights the fact that solar is practical and beautiful on any style house in any residential environment" said Meredith McClintock, Founder and CEO of Ready Solar. "These two Idea Houses represent two distinct cases where a pre-configured, packaged, out-of-the-box complete solar solution makes the most sense to the customer - one is a remodeled LEED-compliant urban residence and the other is a luxury custom-built resort home overlooking Lake Tahoe."

The use of solar power in the residential market is now becoming mainstream, and Ready Solar's Solar in a Box product line takes solar technology to the next level by incorporating both aesthetics and ease-of-installation into standardized user-friendly packages.

"Buying a solar system should be as simple as buying a refrigerator" says Meredith. "The customer should be thinking about matching the color of the system to their roof, not about component compatibility and electrical code regulations."

Ready Solar designs and manufactures beautiful, economical, pre-configured solar energy systems that install quickly and easily. Their unique system is an aesthetic breakthrough for homeowners concerned about the appearance of photovoltaics. They integrate solar panels with the roofline like a skylight, and offer custom colors to complement any available roof type.
