USGBC Selects CS Learning Solutions to Build and Manage New Online Education Portal

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) today announced it has selected CS Learning Solutions to build and manage the new Green Building Education online portal dedicated to serving the fast-growing market demand for information and insight about sustainable design and construction.

"As the green building marketplace grows, there is a corresponding demand for high quality education and knowledge about LEED standards and practices," said Peter Templeton, USGBC Vice President, Education and Research. "CS Learning Solutions understands this demand and is developing an innovative and scalable online solution to help us serve this wide and growing range of information needs and interests."

The Green Building Education site will provide professionals and educators from all sectors of the building industry with high quality, current information about green building practices and principles and the LEED Green Building Rating System(TM), the nation's leading standard for sustainable design and construction. Along with a USGBC approved catalog of programs and courses, the site will include a new online curriculum.

In addition to building and managing the Green Building Education website, CS Learning Solutions' instructional design team will work with USGBC providers to produce fully integrated web-based courses for the site.

"Education is a cornerstone of the green building movement. The fast adoption of LEED standards among design professionals, builders and property owners is proof of the extraordinary opportunity for a USGBC-branded online resource to inform and enlighten best practices in sustainability," said Barbara Blair, CEO of CyberStaff America, Ltd., the parent company of CS Learning Solutions. "We are proud to be selected as USGBC's development partner in creating this timely and important capability."
