Treating wastewater by using Membrane Bioreactor technology (MBR) is appearing in treatment plants in the US. Having been used in Japan for many years, plant managers are starting to learn more about the advantages of MBR. An MBR system produces less residual solids while requiring less maintenance, power consumption, and chemicals.
