Governor Blagojevich signs new law reducing idling from diesel-engine vehicles

Governor Rod Blagojevich today signed House Bill 4782 into law, which prevents stationary diesel vehicles of more than 8,000 pounds from idling for more than 10 minutes in the Chicagoland area and in the St Louis Metro-East Region.

U.S. EPA announces new ultra low sulfur diesel "Clean diesel" will help improve air quality

In an effort that promises to drastically improve local air quality, the US Environmental Protection Agency now requires refiners and fuel importers to cut the sulfur content of highway diesel fuel 97 percent, from 500 parts per million to 15.

New Voluntary Standard Will Help Purchasers Buy Greener Computers

The US Environmental Protection Agency along with the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association today announced a new voluntary environmental performance standard to help large computer buyers make environmentally sound purchases.
